Kapcsandy's 2021 Rapszodia boasts incredibly complex floral-spicy-herbal aromas, with some elements seeming close to violets, others more pepper-like, while others resemble black tea, all layered atop a potent base of dark-berried fruit. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is ripe without being over the top, fruity without being a bomb, in a word—it's balanced. Concentrated without being heavy, it's silky and elegant on the long-lingering finish.

The 2021 Rapszodia is 100% Cabernet Franc from the estate that spent 20 months in 85% new French oak. It has an absolutely stunning bouquet of darker, blue-tinged fruits as well as spring flowers, espresso, and graphite that's to die for. Inky hued, concentrated, medium to full-bodied, and flawlessly balanced, it's just about pure perfection in a glass. There are enough tannins to warrant 4-5 years of bottle age, and it will evolve for 30 years or more.

The 2021 Rhapszodia, 100% Cabernet Franc, is sublime. Varietal Franc notes marry with the natural textural intensity of this drought vintage to produce an especially dramatic, large-scaled Rhapszodia. I would not think of touching a bottle anytime soon, as the 2021 is shockingly primary at this stage. The Franc here is always so distinctive, as it is again in 2021. I can't wait to taste this with a bit of bottle age.

The 2021 Rapszodia, 100% Cabernet Franc, is deep garnet-purple in color. It bursts with a fabulous perfume of redcurrant jelly, fresh mulberries, and wild blueberries opening out to fragrant nuances of rose oil, cloves, cedar, and Darjeeling tea with a touch of pencil lead. The medium to full-bodied palate has fantastic tension and depth, with beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins and vibrant red and blue berry layers, finishing long and minerally. 165 cases were made.
