Remarkably, the 2000 Shiraz/Viognier (94% of the former and 6% of the latter) is a dark ruby-colored, smoky effort with medium to full body, but a lean, hard finish. While it is a more ambitious example, with more noticeable oak than the Hilltops, the latter effort possesses more charm and character. The 2000 Shiraz/Viognier should drink well for 10+ years.
