Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting in Beaune, the 2013 Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Perdrix has a seductive bouquet with forward wild strawberry and raspberry preserve aromas, commendable definition and purity and gaining intensity with just a few swirls of the glass. The palate is sweet on the entry, fleshy and supple, more forward than its peers but balanced and demonstrating good weight towards the ample finish. Enjoy this over the next decade. Tasted September 2016.

Strong, powerful fruit. Hard structure. Tighly wound tannins. Deserves some time to evolve, but is very suppressed right now. (RH)
