Tasting notes
The 2020 Malbec Hobbs Estate is sourced from Agrelo in Luján de Cuyo. Aged 18 months in French oak barrels, 48% new, this deep purple wine displays a ripe character with plum marmalade, menthol and balsamic hints against a cedar backdrop. Chocolate and mocha hints emerge with time in the glass. Dry, rich and velvety, the palate offers reactive tannins with depth and a fairly overwhelming mouthfeel. This is a long-lasting, calibrated Malbec crafted from a warm vintage.
