Tasting notes
0.7824 ha, principally clay-based soil. 95% of the parcel has vines aged between 60 and 80 years. 3,900 bottles. Intensity on nose/palate is matched by a voluptuous palate which still retains the elegance of Pinot Noir combined with the power of Vosne. Fine tannins, judicious oak – it would be very easy to drink (and savour) this now. (AWH)

The 2020 Vosne-Romanée La Colombière offers a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, touches of wilted iris and peony, a light pepper note in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain, quite edgy tannins. Citrus fresh, quite vibrant with a fine tension on the finish.
About the producer

Since its rebirth in 2000, Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair has quickly become one of the most highly sought-after producers in Vosne-Romanée. The most prized wine from the estate is their monopole Grand Cru La Romanée.
