Score 91-93/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, May 2021
Beautiful notes of black raspberries, candle wax, white flowers, mulled cherries, and chocolate all emerge from the 2020 Château Mangot Todeschini, and it's full-bodied, with plenty of mid-palate depth, some creamy oak veneer, outstanding balance, and classic Saint-Emilion minerality on the finish. It's a rich, opulent, sexy 2020 barrel sample that should have two decades of longevity. A smaller parcel selection, this cuvée is 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon that’s brought up in one-third new French oak.
