2001 Riesling Grand Cru Hengst

Grapefruit, smoke and wet stone on the nose, along with a ripe suggestion of fruit salad. Big, broad and concentrated; seems riper than the 2002, with captivating flavors of crystallized grapefruit and pineapple. Large-scaled, long and tactile. Longer and riper than the 2002 version, and much easier to taste today.
