Score 94/100 · Drink 2024-2038, Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous, Jan 2024
The 2019 Clos Nouveau is a richly-textured style despite its focused nature. It is imbued with masses of tannins that are all chalky, weaving through its mid-weight core. There's plenty of muscle and richness contained within this wine. It has length and sinew, replete with chalky texture. This is a proper grown-up's wine.

Certified organic (AB, Ecocert). Powerful, broad, muscular and smoky. A bit exaggerated. No finesse. The beautiful Bourgueil fruit and perfume is swamped by swagger. Their less expensive wines are much more attractive and much better value. (TC)
