Tasting notes
The 2022 Bourgogne Les Chataigners is ample and fleshy, bursting with aromas of pear, ripe apples, white flowers and fresh bread. Medium-bodied, open and giving, it includes declassified juice from the final press fractions of Lamy's top cuvées. This will drink well on release.

The Bourgogne vines are tucked away at the end of the valley, so were picked later, on 5th September, finishing at 13.2%. A clear pale colour. The bouquet offers an immediate intensity with a crystalline character, a very pure white fruit in the mouth, concentrated apples, highly impressive for a ‘regional’ wine.
The 2022 Bourgogne Les Chataigners, from the top of the incline on chalky soils, has a pretty nose with lemon verbena and light Anjou pear scents. The palate is fresh on the entry, quite spicy and lively, with a twist of sour lemon on the finish. It's simple, but delicious.
