Drink 2027-2040, FINE+RARE, Nov 2023

Tortochot has 0.57 hectares in Charmes-Chambertin, on the Mazoyères side of the vineyard. In 2022, the wine saw 60-70% new oak, with the dense fruit soaking it up. The nose is expressive, scented with florals, wild strawberry and intense, tiny cherries. The palate is darker, brooding with less detail at this stage, but there’s real intensity and a smoky, savoury note that complements the fine yet firm tannins
