Tank sample. Lovely density on the palate. Crisp apple acidity compliments the stone-fruit character on the palate. Mineral undertow. A serious Chassagne with plenty of structure and lots of upside. Long and refined finish. For drinking over the next 10 years. (AWH)

The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Champs Gain has turned out nicely, offering up aromas of pear, orange oil, hazelnuts and buttery pastry. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, it's textural and pure, concluding with a precise finish.
