From the Charmes side of the appellation, this Charmes-Chambertin is indeed charming, singing with fresh red berry and crushed blueberry notes. There is a great harmony here – supple and velvety tannins are complemented by a bright bone of acidity that makes for a racy mid-palate, a certain minerality and some gentle hints of spice towards the long, concentrated and red-fruited finish. Grand Charmeur!
