Tasting notes
♥ Outstanding. A vaguely exotic nose freely offers up its combination of dried apricot, white and yellow peach, lychee and a discreet hint of wood influence. There is better vibrancy to the equally rich but less powerful flavors that also brim with plenty of sappy dry extract while delivering better length on the bitter lemon-inflected finish where the only nit is a hint of warmth. In the same fashion as the Morgeot, I have again shortened my suggested drinking window even though this is noticeably more interesting. Drink 2028+

About the producer

Although the Bichot family settled in the region in 1350, Albert Bichot was founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot. Today the producer is one of Burgundy’s most respected, making wines from both its own vineyards and with purchased fruit.
