Tasting notes
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Lazy Susan Ranch is a 350 to 400-case blend that's 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc. A big, rich, mouth-filling beauty loaded with red and black fruits as well as some leafy herbs, underbrush, spice, and tobacco nuances, I love its purity of fruit, and it brings full-bodied richness, a ripe, voluptuous mouthfeel, and a great finish. Drink this sexy yet age-worthy effort over the coming 15+ years.

The 2021 Lazy Susan Ranch is bright and nicely focused, with lovely depth and plenty of mountain energy. Crushed red berry fruit, rose petal and blood orange all run through this mid-weight, approachable Cabernet. It's a fine choice for drinking now and over the next decade or so. The 2021 incorporates the best lots from the Lava Terrace, which was not bottled. This is a very serious second wine, if that term can even be used here.
