Good full, deep red. Black cherry, licorice and mellow, cedary oak tones on the nose. Tightly wound and less fleshy than the Monfalletto, with less give to the middle palate. Shows a flavor of licorice and firm tannic spine. Youthfully tough today, finishing with big, dusty tannins.
