Good deep red. Wild aromas of brown spices, plum and nutty oak. Big, rich, pliant and deep for Brunate but showing less lift today than the Fossati, with lower-toned flavors of nutty oak and coffee currently dominating the mid-palate. Finishes with substantial dusty tannins. An awkward showing today: I don't find the high-pitched floral notes of Brunate, but then this was a very warm year.
