Tasting notes
The 2007 Santa Cecilia does not offer the same level of clarity or detail as the other wines in this retrospective. My sample was closed from an aromatic point of view and slightly disjointed. It also showed a lower caliber of aromatic intensity. Wild berry and dark cherry flavors resist at the core.

Dark ruby with narrow orange rim. Compelling, sweet, deep nose with notes of undergrowth and touch of oak. Damson and blueberry and a flattering note of tomato leaf and liquorice. Fine tannic grip on the finish. Pretty much complete but can age quite a bit longer. (WS)
100% Nero d’Avola. Mid depth of crimson. Very sweet and rather simple. Very soft. Not really trying. Tart finish though there is certainly flesh in the middle. (JR)
100% Nero d’Avola. Bright crimson. Good freshness and a very comfortable wine with real richness underneath and a hint of maraschino. Transparent and lively. (JR)
