The 2018 Pinot Noir Brauneberger Klostergarten is coolish, intense and spicy on the deep nose that pairs ripe and concentrated cherry and coolish black berry aromas intertwined with toasty, flinty and iodine notes. Silky, fresh and elegant as well as finessed on the palate, with fine and juicy fruit and fine tannins, this medium to full-bodied Pinot develops a long, delicate, fresh, saline and sustainable finish with salivating mineral acidity. Drink young or keep it for 5 or 6 years before you open it. 12.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.
