Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015

The 2014 Chambolle Musigny Village comes from four parcels: two-thirds from Les Argillières and the other three vineyards located down towards the RN74 artery. I appreciate the lucid clear purple color here. The nose is bursting with dark cherry and cassis fruit, nicely defined and simpatico with the new oak. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, fresh and tensile with palpable nervosité, dovetailing into an elegant finish that nudged premier cru quality. This is very fine - much above my expectations for a Village Cru. Chapeau Michel!
