Good deep red. Sauvage, reduced aromas of wild strawberry, redcurrant and game. Sweet and silky but a bit rustic, with very good acidity framing the black raspberry and animal flavors. A bit of CO2 adds to the challenge of tasting this wine now.

(there's no Mazis "A" in 2004) Slightly hazy appearance following the recent racking. Sauvage aromas of minerals, iron and smoked meat. Fat, sweet and minerally, with the gamey quality carrying through onto the palate. Not especially focused today but wonderfully silky and fine-grained. Best today on the back end, where the wine expands and lingers impressively. But in an awkward stage today.
