Opaque ruby. Highly perfumed red and blue fruit, potpourri and olive aromas are sharpened by a peppery nuance. Sappy, sweet and focused on the palate, offering energetic boysenberry and black currant flavors that show impressive depth and spread out slowly with air. Finishes smoky, sweet and very long, featuring lingering spiciness and gentle, slow-building tannins that add subtle grip.

The charming, forward, impeccably balanced 2014 Côte Rôtie Blonde Du Seigneur (95% Syrah and 5% Viognier) gives up beautiful notes of cured meats, mulled raspberries and toasted spices in its medium-bodied, juicy, fresh and lively style. Possessing no hard edges, it's about as gulpable as they come and will deliver plenty of pleasure over the coming 7-8 years.
