Tasting notes
Last Tasted 2/92 Lamentably, Jaboulet does not make Cote Rotie such as this anymore. Tasted twice in the last four months, this spectacular bottle of Cote Rotie exhibited a huge, Syrah nose of hickory smoke, berries, coffee, and meat. In the mouth, the wine is splendidly concentrated, vividly well-focused, and amazingly long and refreshing. This is a textbook Cote Rotie that could easily evolve, perhaps even improve for another 10-15 years. Astonishing!
