Tasting notes
The 2019 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru feels slightly pithy on the nose, perhaps a touch more extract than its peers. Peach skin and light Anjou pear scents. It becomes a tad exotic with ten minutes in the glass. The palate is well-balanced with fine tannins and grip, lively with ample concentration and countervailing acidity to keep it focused on the finish. This seems to contain and channel the intensity of the growing season to its own advantage. Excellent. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Very flinty nose with some ripe pear and lemon zest. This Saint-Aubin is sleek, tightly wound and highly structured. Some may find the acidity too fresh, but we really like the vibrant and intensely mineral finish. Drink now.
