Score 86/100 · Drink 2003-2005, Pierre Rovani, Jun 2003
Produced from 10-year old vines, the 2001 Saint-Aubin La Fontenotte reveals floral and pear aromas. This light to medium-bodied wine’s grapes were the least ripe of the vintage, according to Colin, due to its cool terroir. It displays a juicy, lively personality with delicate crisp pear flavors. While simple, it is a delicious, thirst-quenching wine to drink over the next 18-24 months. Importer: Robert Chadderdon Selections, New York, NY; tel. (212) 757-8185
