Tasting notes
The 2019 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru has the heaviest reduction among the flights from this climat. Desiccated orange peel, quince and hints of marmalade come through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with good concentration. It's weighty in the mouth, though the reductive element refuses to dislodge. I intuitively believe it will with ample bottle age. Depeche Mode once said it could be "A Question of Time." Patience required. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

The 2019 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru has a slightly richer bouquet compared to Bouzereau’s other cuvées, presenting dried honey and orange pith scents plus honeysuckle and beeswax. The palate is very well balanced with a fine bead of acidity. Harmonious and full of energy. The vibrant citrus/lime finish fans out wonderfully and the spicy aftertaste is one of the longest I have found on this particular cuvée. Superb.
