Score 88/100 · Drink 2020-2030, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin En Champs has a tightly wound bouquet of black cherries, iodine and a scent that reminds me of Ribena fruit drink. The palate is well balanced with sappy red fruit and a fine bead of acidity. Quite lithe in the mouth, leading to a juicy, easygoing finish.
