Tasting notes
This is a dark-colored and rather extracted Bourgogne rouge with density and richness that is a little overdone. But some may like this big, rich character. Lots of dried fruit that verges on raisins. Intense on the finish. Drink now.

The 2018 Bourgogne Rouge had been sulfured the day prior to my visit in November. Raspberry and cranberry fruit on the nose. The medium-bodied palate offers spicy black currant and strawberry fruit and a peppery finish. Fine.
Bursting with aromas of cherries, berries and sweet soil tones, the 2018 Bourgogne is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and succulent, with melting tannins and lively acids to frame its generous core of fruit. As usual, this is an age-worthy offering that will also drink well on release.
