2015 Nuits St Georges Les Perrieres

(these vines are more than 60 years old): Bright red-ruby. Restrained aromas of medicinal black cherry, licorice and bitter chocolate. A bit less exuberant than the Chambolle-Musigny Les Feusselottes that preceded it in my tasting, but still dense, ripe and sweet in the style of the year. Finishes with firm tannins and good framing minerality. These vines were picked at the beginning of the harvest, while the Argillats was picked near the end.
