Score 91/100 · Drink 1995-2010, Robert Parker, Oct 1995

The 1990 boasts a terrific color, adds a chocolate note to the aforementioned aromatics, great richness and ripeness, a dense, opulent palate, and a lush, viscous, full-bodied personality. There is undoubtedly tannin concealed beneath all the fruit, but this wine can be drunk now or cellared for 12-15+ years. Given the fact that three of Spain's hottest new wines have emanated from the steep, terraced hillsides of Priorto - Clos Mogador, Clos d'Orlac, and now Clos Erasmus - it is only a matter of time before the world's wine connoisseurs begin beating a path to this remote, rugged region of northeastern Spain. Importer: Eric Solomon of European Cellars. He has 33 wholesalers in the United States and is based at 121 West 27th Street, Suite 1103, New York, NY 10001. His telephone number is (212) 924-4949 and his fax number is (212) 924-0567.
