Tasting notes
The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village is very charming, bursting with aromas of plums, orange rind, mocha and spicy new oak. Medium-bodied, supple and velvety, with lively acids and melting tannins, this will offer a broad drinking window.

The 2019 Vosne-Romanée Village has a tightly wound bouquet of dark plum and light sea spray aromas, plus hints of marmalade in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, cohesive and quite weighty for a Village Cru. Tangy toward the finish, this is an assertive Vosne-Romanée, but I just need to see a little more elegance develop on the finish.
The only blend among his wines, from 11 different vineyards of which 5% are premier cru. Mainly clay soil at the bottom of the slope. Tank sample. Much fresher than the Nuits. Lively and racy. Real energy here. Superior village Vosne. Long. (JR)
