Score 93/100 · Drink 2019-2029, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Feb 2019

The 2009 Pinot Noir is similar to the 2007 on the nose, displaying cooked strawberries and very fine floral aromas along with refined crystalline slate aromas. Fascinating and from a very warm year, it is silky, fresh and firm on the palate, with a tight structure and refreshing tannins. This is a long and tensioned Pinot with lingering salinity and mineral tension. It is slightly dry on the finish but very gastronomic. Another beautiful Pinot from the Gantenbeins. Tasted November 2018.
