Score 91/100 · Drink 2009, Robert Parker, Aug 1999

The 1995 Barolo Cannubi is very sexy. The dark ruby color is accompanied by a sumptuous nose of tobacco smoke, coffee, black fruits, and pain grille. The wine is dense, velvety-textured, full-bodied, and silky, with no hard edges. This is a voluptuous wine to enjoy over the next decade. Good deep red. Redcurrant, mint, chocolate, vanilla and coffee on the nose. Lush and generous; has very good concentration but is not yet showing much personality. Finishes with slightly dry, tongue dusting (oak?) tannins.
