Score 91/100 · Drink 2017-2020, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017
The 1997 Cornas les Ruchets is hanging in there, 20 years after the vintage. It's medium to full-bodied but is starting to thin out a little. It still offers notes of roasted beef, spice and leather, and the finish remains silky and long.

Good medium-deep ruby. Higher-pitched, more minerally aromas of blackberry, spice, mint and flowers. Nicely concentrated but rather stunted today, with a primary grapey quality. A bit less harmonious than the Louvee and not yet displaying its personality.
