Tasting notes
The 2020 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has a perfumed, floral bouquet with red cherries, bergamot, Earl Grey and light crushed stone scents. Fine delineation, though there is a very slight tinniness coming through. The palate is medium-bodied with stocky tannins that exert grip. It's well-balanced with crisp red fruit, cranberry and wild strawberry. There is plenty of spice and cracked black pepper on the finish. Very persistent. This is superb. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

This time the colour is more purple than black. Perhaps the coolest site, certainly the last to pick. Interesting, complex nose, a bit of blackberry, maybe mulberry but mixed in with fresher red fruit notes. Seamless on the palate, sensual covering the plentiful but ripe tannins and with good acidity. Fresh in structure, florid in fruit profile. Tasted: December 2021
