Score 84-86/100 · Drink 1995-2002, Robert Parker, Feb 1995
I have been a longtime critic of this estate's wines, which have had a tendency to possess musty aromatics. However, over recent vintages that problem appears to have been solved. The 1993 Larose-Trintaudon is an attractive, all purpose claret for drinking in its first 5-7 years of life. The wine possesses good spice, clean, ripe, curranty fruit, medium body, and a well-balanced, elegant personality. It is a good, inexpensive choice for restaurants.
