Translucent ruby-red. Assertively perfumed red berry, floral and baking spice aromas, along with an exotic touch of blood orange. Juicy and lithe on the palate, offering appealingly sweet raspberry, cherry cola and botanical herb flavors and a touch of star anise. Silky tannins frame a long, focused finish that emphatically repeats the red berry note. This is pretty impressive, not to mention elegant, for an entry-level, regional bottling of Yarra Pinot Noir, or from any region for that matter.
