Score 92/100 · Drink 2011-2016, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Jun 2011

Tractor 2009 Wallis Chardonnay reveals some pleasant sulphide aromas over notes of citrus zest, lemon curd and lime leaf with hints of grapefruit and some yeastiness. Medium bodied, crisp, intense and with nice tension, there's some creaminess in the long finish. Approachable now, it should drink well through 2016+. Established in 1999, in 2004 this property was acquired by Martin Spedding who has taken an active role in the winemaking and given the whole range a quality injection. The wines are skillfully and naturally crafted at Moorooduc. Production is small at 5-6000 cases per year. With some seriously interesting single vineyard Chardonnays and Pinots already being produced here, this is name to watch. Ten Minutes By Tractor does not currently have a USA importer.
