Slightly wild, meaty, nutty edge to the nose, with rustic, quite firm tannins. Good weight of blackberry fruit though. (TJ)

The 2018 Marsannay Village contains no new oak and a just bit of whole-bunch fruit. Despite a little reduction, this has an attractive, well-defined bouquet of red currant and red plum fruit. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy red fruit, fine acidity and a touch of mineralité toward the finish. Promising.
