Always beautiful, the 2021 Château Puygueraud Blanc is vibrant and crisp, with pure lemon and honeyed pineapple fruits, some sappy green flower notes, medium body, good acidity, and a great finish. I'd be thrilled to drink a bottle any time over the coming 3-4 years or so.

The 2021 Puygueraud Blanc is bright, nervy and focused. Lemon peel, slate, crushed rocks, mint, white pepper and light tropical overtones all grace this taut, brilliant dry white. The 2021 is an ideal aperitif wine.

A blend of 64% Sauvignon Blanc and 36% Sauvignon Gris, the 2021 Blanc wafts from the glass with aromas of kiwi, grapefruit, lemon and lime tree leaves. Medium-bodied, juicy and fresh with a round, supple mid-palate, it’s well-balanced and finishes long and delicately bitter.

The 2021 Puygueraud Blanc contains more Sauvignon Gris this year because the Sauvignon Blanc was touched by frost. Cropped at 31hL/ha September 17–27, it has a well-defined nose of Granny Smith apples, gooseberry and nettle; an underlying petrichor note emerges with aeration. The palate is actually more complex than the nose suggests, delivering lime and Conference pear flavors and pleasant weight imparted by the Sauvignon Gris. There’s a touch of spice on the finish. Worth hunting down.
