Score 89/100 · Drink 2014-2019, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jun 2014

The 2012 Ladoix 1er Cru La Corvee seemed a little taciturn on the nose despite coaxing, reluctantly offering undergrowth aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with tart red cherries on the entry. There is a pleasant spiciness to this premier cru, quite peppery toward the finish that lingers nicely in the mouth. While it lacks a little excitement, it is a well-crafted Ladoix. Drink now-2019. I covered this Ladoix domaine earlier in the year, but when I met Julie Guyot-Chevalier early in the morning at the Grands Jours de Bourgogne tasting, I took the opportunity to taste two more wines. Importer: AP Wines, 110 W, 40th Street, New York, NY 10018 and also through Liberty in the UK.
