Tasting notes
The other super selection from the Finca Piedra Infinita vineyard is the 2015 Finca Piedra Infinita Gravascal, from slightly deeper soils that they felt always had a special personality. This feels slightly riper than the regular Piedra Infinita and the Supercal selection. The flavors are also riper, with some herbal notes. In the end, I feel like the Piedra Infinita has more nuance, complexity and balance than these single-cask wines. The same as with the other bottling of a single 500-liter barrel of the Piedra Infinita vineyard, I find it difficult to evaluate an almost academic wine of which only 600 bottles exist, hence my question mark in the score.
