Score 76/100 · Drink 1987, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
Now fully mature, and not likely to hold together for more than a few more years, this off-year Gruaud has surprisingly good color, with a pleasingly mature, moderately intense bouquet of cassis and spices, medium body, tart acidity, and a vegetal aspect to its fruit. The wine is becoming more attenuated. Anticipated maturity: Now-may be in decline. Last tasted, 7/87.
