Tasting notes
With just 5.5% alcohol, the 2010 Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese (AP 3011) displays a stunningly clear, fresh, delicate and slatey as well as spicy-flavored bouquet of blossom honey, orange and lemon tea, sweet and cooked stone fruits, lemon chutney and a hint of whole wheat bread. The attack on the palate is very bright, elegant and transparent and much less oily, dark and sweet than expected. This is a remarkably fresh and delicate TBA with a satiny texture that is traversed by fine but vivacious acidity veins making it a fascinatingly clear, fresh and pulsating TBA of great precision and purity. This wine is lovely to drink today, but you can also store it for several decades. (375ml bottle)
