Made for J&B by Paul Dangin of Celles-sur-Ource in the Côte des Bar. A bit more autolysis on the nose and a more delicate texture than J&B's Sarcey Brut NV. Definitely worth the extra 50p! VGV (JR)
A Pinot Noir-dominated blend from the Côte de Bars that was aged in bottle for 'up to three years'. Pale pinkish straw with a steady tiny bead and an impressively complex mature nose. Hint of putty before fresh acidity, and impressive. A very satisfying, round, not-that-fizzy blend. Flattering and very easy to enjoy. (JR)
Mainly Pinot cuvée, from Dangin. Mid bronze colour and very substantial nose. Then rather tough and tart on the palate with some apple-skin sensation. A bit rustic. (JR)
