This 2016 Petit Chemarin has so much energy and a crunchy grip. At the end of a long tasting, this wine reenergizes you with its focus, drive and precision. It offers citrus flavors now and is starting to develop some almond meal. The 201 is at a great stage in its life but still remarkably young. The vintage has proven to make excellent Sancerre.

Tropical pineapple and grapefruit style on the nose, complemented by spicy oak on the palate. Dry, fibrous mouthfeel with lots of husky substance on the length. The fruit seems marginally oxidative on the finish though. (RH)
