Score 84-86/100 · Drink 2015-2019, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2014
The 2013 Santenay Clos des Malte has plenty of fruit on the nose: cranberry and red cherries, perhaps floral in style. The palate is medium-bodied with pointed tannins, good depth, but showing just a little dryness toward the lean finish. Not bad, but I suspect this will be better for early drinking.

Mid ruby. Quite briary and mulchy on the nose. Light and with a slight shortage of ripe fruit. Definitely hard and austere. (JR)
