The 2020 Duo de Conseillante has a crisp bouquet with dark berry fruit, touches of Xmas cake and allspice in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with gritty tannins on the entry, quite peppery in style, fresh and quite saline with the Cabernet Franc somewhat dominant on the tobacco-tinged finish. Enjoy this over the next decade.

The 2020 Duo de Conseillante is a lovely second wine. Vibrant, floral and juicy the Duo is everything a second wine should be. Bright red and blue fruit and lavender are nicely delineated in this mid-weight, nuanced Pomerol. This is an especially easygoing style. Drink it over the next decade.
About the producer
Château la Conseillante was built in 1750 and named after the proprietor, Libourne business woman Catherine Conseillan. The reputation of the wines quickly grew and her wines became some of the most expensive in the region.
