Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2021-2030, Neal Martin, Jan 2019
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a well defined, expressive bouquet with raspberry preserve and blackcurrant aromas, quite earthy in style and nicely focused. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, bright red fruit, quite saline in the mouth with a touch of white pepper on the finish. Fine.

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Village offers up notes of cherries, cassis, espresso roast and loamy soil, subtly framed by new wood. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, tangy and acid driven, with fine tannins and a long, vibrant finish. With some bottle age this should evolve into a beautifully transparent Gevrey.
