Tasting notes
Good bright medium red. Pungent, sweet aromas of raspberry and spices. Fine-grained, broad and sweet, with an enticing creaminess to the red berry and smoky mineral flavors. Finishes with lush tannins and excellent length and lift. It's hard to imagine this wine ever going through a sullen stage, but then this is Clos Vougeot!

Bright deep red. Candied black cherry and spices on the superripe nose. Very rich but surprisingly dry in the mouth, with a strong spice character to the flavors of black cherry, blackberry and licorice. Finishes with a vibrant flavor of crushed black cherry but the building tannins show a faint dry edge.
Meaty. Very muscular. Quite grainy textured. Dry finish. Severe at the moment. (JR)
