Cask sample. Much more intensity on the palate but a bit of 'more is less': I preferred the straight Vielles Vignes Gevrey. (AWH)

The 2020 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jouises is crisp and taut on the nose, clean, brambly red berry fruit, crushed stone and light rose petal scents unfold with each swirl of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, well-integrated oak, good depth with a precise and charming finish. This is a wonderful Village Cru from Heresztyn that comes highly recommended.
